When the viewer first lay their eyes upon this piece, they will immediately see the vibrant color of the chair, the obvious focus of the photograph, in contrast to the surrounding gloom. The use of the Rule of Thirds makes the composition visually pleasing and balanced, your eyes go from the chair to the hanging lights and finally to the window, thus effectively taking you throughout the entire artwork. The dingy, forgotten look of the room just adds to the dread of the suffocating closeness of the walls. It might have been the chair where inmates spent their last moments, their screams echoing off the walls, or maybe it was a chair where haircuts were an everyday occurrence. The past holds many secrets, some too dreadful to fathom...

great idea bro.. can you adjust the colors after converting to black and white? meaning the blues and cyan and reds and such that will effect the image as greys and blacks.. if so i would try and deepin the background abit draw even more focus on the chair and give it even more a creepy feel.. but i likes it either way..

Oh god... this is perfect, mate.

The bleak, colorless surroundings... the almost spotlight-like skylight... the selective red on the barber's chair. All great, distinguishing features for this shot. It puts my attention right on the subject which is perfect and, like I may have said on the original, just great composition overall.
